Ever once in awhile I am so taken by a new product. I just can't get enough of it!
And I can't seem to get enough of the the new Cable Knit Dynamic Embossing Folder.
First a few things that you need to know about the Cable Knit Embossing Folder.
- The folder is very thick. Here is the way that you build a sandwich in order to use it: 1. The Platform 2. the Cable Knit Folder 3. One of the Standard plates and that is it! So you are leaving out one of the standard plates.
- Not necessary but helpful: Spray one light mist of water over the card stock that you will be embossing before you put it into the folder. The water breaks down the threads in the paper a little bit and the embossed paper is smoother instead of maybe a little crunched looking.
I have included a tutorial after the samples so that you will know how to make the Double Z CARD. It's really easy!
My Double Z Card features a stamp from the You're Sublime Stamp Set.
I used the 1/8" Circle Punch to get a black circle for the center of the wheelbarrow's wheel.
I used the following markers to color in the flowers: Daffodil Delight, Pink Pirouette, Chocolate Chip, Soft Sky, Wisteria Wonder, and Mint Macaron for the leaves.
Now get ready! The inside has a LOT of pink Cable Knit embossed card stock.
I stamped the flowers again, colored them in, cut them out, and added them to the strip so that the card has a little more stamping to it.
Just in case this is too much cable knit and not enough stamping, I modified the card and will share the modified version tomorrow!
Here is the tutorial.
So you score both the strip and the main card exactly the same: at 2 3/4" and at 5 1/2".
Now just turn the strip around in the opposite direction and fasten it on to the main card!
I told you that it is easy!
