Last Wednesday, October 24th, my cousin/sister, Carol, from TX, flew out to see me for four days.
Our dads are brothers. Her husband, Mark, sent her out with his blessings! They have 9th grade twin daughters who are homeschooled, one married daughter, and a son who just started college at Oral Roberts University.
So I introduced her to stamping. She did a great job making three cards and then helped us stamp on Thursday night for the next Spaghetti Factory quarterly meetings.
We left the house at 6:45 on Friday to go babysit for my granddaughter, Jaelyn.
I wanted Carol to see Ambassador Auditorium, the home of my church, H Rock Church in Pasadena.
The auditorium isn't in the picture. You are looking at a huge administration building on the property.
The architecture in the fountain is amazing. This auditorium was built as a concert hall and is still used this way just about every Saturday night. We only purchased it about 8 years ago or so.
From here we visited the park. Jaelyn loves to swing.
Wait a minute! Who is climbing here? It isn't Jaelyn, so it has to be Carol!!!
Oh, here is the one I was expecting to find at the top of this equipment...Jaelyn (and Carol, too).
Joshua is cooling off with Gabe and Shelly after his soccer game on Saturday.
Carol and I just had fun watching Joshua play soccer on the field and Jeremy and Jaelyn run around all around us.
We got up at 4:00 a .m. on Sunday to get her back to Ontario for her 6:30 flight. She is one of the teachers at their home school co-op on Monday so she had to get home.
You can expect to see one or two "sister weekends" each year.
Next, it is my turn to visit TX!
Thank you for stopping by!
