We were up early on Friday. First, Stampin' Up! took us to tour the manufacturing plant in Kanab. The staff were outside welcoming us with a lot of enthusiasm.
We were not allowed to take pictures inside the plant, but after getting back, I took pictures of the gifts that we were given.
I got to fill an ink refill and put a label on the bottle! That was fun!
This is the bag that our dinner came in after the river rafting trip. We were given a new stamp set which I can't take a picture of, a new pad, Stampin' Mist. Thanks, Stampin' Up! The calendar was a gift we recieved on the bus trip.
Here is how the dinner bags were presented. There were 120 bags with a beautiful vase on each table!
More bus trip gifts. Card Stock and other goodies.
After lunch, we headed out to the Colorado River for a three hour river rafting trip.
We started out at Hoover Dam.
Initially, we wore a hard hat for a 100 yard walk down a ramp in danger of falling rocks.
Then about 20 of us were in each of the big rafts and we took off for our three hour river trip!
Kay is a new friend who I got to know on this trip.
Wow! it was HOT, HOT, HOT for the first hour of the trip!!!!!
Meet Paul, our walking encyclopedia of the Colorado River!
It takes 1 hour and 15 minutes to get back up the river so he took off to back up to the Hoover Dam before dark.
We saw a lot of Blue Heron and some of Osprey. He posed for us. He's known as the sea hawk, the fish eagle or the fish hawk....a fish eating bird of prey.
There was sooooooooooo much beauty in the 1600 feet high mountains.
Are you ready for the rapids that we hit!!!?
There were wild horses along the river bank.
It was a beautiful, fascinating day filled with a lot of God's beautiful creation!
Thank you for stopping by!
