Some good friend's middle son, David, is marrying a beautiful young lady , Kate, and I had the privilege of participating in giving a wedding shower for her last Saturday.
I mailed out hand stamped invitations for the bride's family and friends. The bulk of the friends were invited by an e-vite.
I made Thank You notes for the bride to be. Each person filled out an envelope addressed to themselves and I put a stamp on it. This a quarter card that uses a retired thank you stamp. So the back is a plain white Top Note piece.
Then we asked each person to type out a 5 x 5 note about something that contributes to life long marriage relationship. I created a 6 x 6 book for each person's thoughts. I used Blushing Bride and silver for the letters ( a retired Big Shot alphabet). The letters are a double thickness to create some depth.
Here is an up close view.
Here is what the insdie front page looked like. I used a stamp from One in a Million.
Then the book opens to each page of advice. This book was 2 1/2 hours of work to design and put together. It was worth it, for sure.
And here is the lovely bride-to-be, Kate, with her mother on the left and her mother-in-law on the right.
Take a look at the amazing refreshments. The cake is from a bakery in Monrovia.
What a pretty arrangement by Summer for the silverware and plates.
The fruit/veggie was arranged by Abbie's husband, Steve, who's family did catering when he was growing up.
And is the "committee" who planned the shower.
Sandy (me on the left), Abbie, and Susan, who opened her home.
We each one were so happy to make our unique contributions to the special occasion!
Thank you for stopping by!

Congratulation to both of you David and Kate.. Very simple but elegant wedding..
