Ready for a good laugh!

Today I had both an afternoon and evening class for making the Medallion Christmas Tree.

I wasn't paying real close attention to Carol.  And then she said that her tree was a little crooked!

I looked at her tree and just about had cardiac arrest!

I thought that she had glued the layers together this way!!!!

(It seems that she thought that she could stack them up like a "test run" to see how it was going to look before she hot glued the layers together.  NOT!!!

We laughed so hard!!!

Here is our little forest from this afternoon.

The first tree is definitely a learning curve.  After that, it is really pretty easy!

Only very special are getting the few that I am making to give away!!

Thanksgiving with my family

We had a yummy dinner.  Here are some pictures from the day.

Cards for Overseas and More Cleaning!

One of my friends and customers, Roxie, is collecting cards and card fronts to send to a group of ladies who remake them and send them overseas so that all of our troops will have cards to send home!

I now have an empty shoe box here in my craft room.

If you have any cards or card fronts that you want to donate anytime you come over, that would be great!

Here is the box full that I accumulated as I was cleaning last night!

And I also got two of my craft tables cleaned off so that we can have Thanksgiving out here tomorrow!

I have some little treats on the table.  They are small, but by the time we add the plates and glasses, they will just be nice little fillers.  We made these little pumpkins this year.

We made these little placecards several years back.

And no cleaning day would be complete without tackling the refrigerator, right!

My counters were full of things from the refrigerator and more things from shopping.

  You know the scene!

All of the counters were a mess and I made MANY trips out to the trash can!


Tomorrow I make the pie crusts and do a little more cleaning.

Thursday morning, I'll bake pies, make some other dishes and get ready for 11 of us to get together for Thanksgiving.  My daughter is making the turkey!  Yeah!

Cooking and Cleaning

I actually did stamp today, but it is for Valentines and I will start showing some of these ideas after Thanksgiving.  My customers and I are finished with our Christmas projects...at least we have them all designed.  And now we are just trying to finish everything up!

So I'll have a lot of new ideas for you coming up!
We're having Thanksgiving out here in the craft room.  So needless to say, I have a lot of cleaning to do!

I tend to NOT take the time to do it as oten as I could. 

Having an event out here forces me to get the little messes sitting around here and there all cleaned up!

Today I tackled the little piles in the kitchen and then started out here.  More cleaning tomorrow.

Our annual Christmas pictures were taken today

Towards the end of the shoot, we were still trying to coax Gabe and Shelly's three children to stand on a bench for a picture.

Well, when things aren't going well, you can still make the best of the situation!!!

Time to go home!

This is a classic!  We'll be showing this to Jaeyln's children!!!!

Top Note Christmas Treat

Carmen Paez traded the cutest little treat at our last quarterly meeting!

 

She scored the Top Note Garden Green card stock 1/4" on each side of the middle so that there is a 1/2" fold.

Then she added a little box to hold the candy.

Carmen started with a 4"x 2" piece of c/s and scored it at 1/2" all the way around. The end flaps are 2" and the side flaps have a 1/2" little flap that folds around into the box. (The fnished size is 3"x 2".)

The band is 8 1/2"x 1/4"  in Early Espresso.  She used the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch for the flower, the Itty Bitty Shpes punch for the center flower and the Bird Builder Punch for the leaves. 

The "Very Merry" is from It's a Wrap Holidays.  It's stamped in Early Espresso onto Crumb Cake c/s.

The little sparkly red center is Stickles Christmas Red. (non Stampin' Up!)

Library Craft Time

Last night I was invited back to a local library to provide a craft time for their patrons.  I almost let everyone leave before I remembered to take a picture.  We had 20 people come through for the class.  Most people had signed up for the class.  Some were walk-ins.

Yolie Martinez (on the left)  is a demonstrator in my group and helped with one of the projects. The library employee (a former demonstrator) helped with the second project, and I facilitated the third project.

Here is the last group of people at the last table.

They were all asking when we were coming back, so I guess it's time to design Valentines!

And that is what I have been designing:  VALENTINES!!    That is why I do not have anything new to post that I have stamped.  It is too early to post Valentines!

I'll have a few more Christmas ideas Friday from my last meeting.  There were so many good ideas!

The third project was made with Box #2 Bigz Die.  the center piece is 10 1/2" x 12 3/4" and is scored at 4 1/2" and 6".
