Have you ever seen a Hansen's can looking so good?!!
I took inspiration for this card from a demonstrator.
(I believe it was a Stampin' Up! training video (or You Tube?) that was posted awhile back.)
Here is my version of the idea that we will make in my April Stamp Clubs and may just repeat it in the April Stamp-a-stack! It's just so much fun to make this card!
It makes a great card for a guy! They would be totally fascinated with the aluminum flowers!
I inked the Woodgrain Stamp in Soft Suede and stamped it onto the Twill Tape. I inked the stamp from Itty Bitty Backgrounds in Soft Suede, Old Olive, and Bravo Burgundy (one color at a time) and lightly stamped a little of each around on the card.
I don't know if this is advisable, but I cut into the Hansen's drink can with my Craft Rubber Cutting Scissors. I cut off one end first. Then I cut up the side, and last, cut off the second end. Rinse it out good. Cut along one edge so that the can will open up. (See below)
All you need to decide at this point is if you want silver flowers or colored flowers.
At this point, I looked at the sample picture in the catalog (page 114) and placed my flowers in the same places. Use the paper piercing tool along with silver brads to secure the flowers into place.

Sandy,
The one time I ventured into using a can for a die cut, I used regular tin snips to cut the can open. They're a little bulky to handle but cut the aluminum like butter. Oh, and by the way, we like to buy the Hansen's drinks, as well.
