Special Time with Special Friends

Talk about feeling very loved!

Sometimes I use the weekends to post personal about personal events.

These are some friends from H Rock Church.

Left to right:  April, Frances, Jan, Me, and Judy

April organized a fancy tea and brought it to my home!  She made the best scones that I have ever tasted. (Complete with lemon sauce, blackberry jam, and real butter, too, of course.)

We also enjoyed delicious tea in a fancy tea pot, fancy sandwiches, and fruit.

Are you wondering why they did this?

I asked if anyone ever got together to pray for people who have gone through or are going through a difficult time.  This is a time of big change for me, with my husband Dave recently having gone to Heaven.

The time was sweet and a huge encouragement and blessing for me, and I think all of us. So April organized it the others were happy to participate.

Where would be be without friends! Judy's husband, Harley even joined us.  It was great to have him!

Tomorrow, I get to take my three year old grandson to a little play!  Whoo hoooooooo!!

Desk Top gift Set out of the Sweet Pea Papers

I recently learned how to make this paper flower and wanted to use it on

something other than a card since you cannot mail the flower. 

This desk top gift holder makes such a great gift!

 

I will include several other views plus the quarter card by itself.

 I used Chocolate Chip and Sahara Sand card stocks to match the Sweet Pea Designer Series paper.

The #112583 Flower Assortment Brads page 179, $6.95 add a really nice touch.

I punched the Chocolate Chip flower out with the #110711 Boho Blossoms Punch.  I wadded it up and scrunched it, then opened it up and added the brad.

I purchased the template through Timeless Templates and I will be happy to send you the link if you would like to get it.  They charge you $5 and make you promise not to give it away.

One of my handy computer friends, Susannah Halweg, remade the instructions so that they are a little easier to navigate.  Once you have purchased the template, let me know and I will be happy to send you the updated instructions.  Simply e-mail me and I will send you the link to the right Timeless Templates page.

How About a LIttle Smooch!

I am not sure which "out of the box thinker" thought of making a fish out of our Ornament punch,

but I am certainly having fun with the idea:).

I think that there would be several different occasions when this card would be fun to use!

The card is all Bermuda Bay (ink, card stock, and Polka Dot ribbon) and Whisper white.

Awesome Ideas from my Thursday Demonstrator Meeting

Raquel Rodriguez spent more than just a LITTLE time putting this adorable creation together!

She picked up the little bottles at a garage sale.

Annette Duran used Tall Tales and Party Hearty. Simple and very nice! 

Anne Heard and Reiko Sakata.  Again, very nice ideas!

Both main character images in these cards are embossed

Esther used the mosaic technique.  Trinia used the Beautiful Wings Embosslit.  Beautiful!

Simple Treats out of the Fancy Favor Bigz Die

Here is a quick and easy treat that you can make fo any number of different occasions!

I saw this idea on Patty Bennett's blog and took off from there!!  Directions are at the bottom of the post.

I decided to go Glorious Green for Saint Patrick's Day!!  We'll be making this treat in my March Stamp Clubs.  Click here if you would like more information.  You're always welcome to visit to see if the club is a fit for you!  My Wednesday club is full right now.  My Tuesday Club still has a few openings.

 

Inside you'll find 5 Andes Mints in a small cello bag.

 

How about Pretty in Pink for Easter!

 A little grass and a milk chocolate bunny and this one is ready to go!

Here is how you cut the card stock on the  Fancy Favor die. You can use an 8 1/2"x 11" piece of card stock.  I like to cut mine to 5 7/8"x 11" so that it will fit easily into the bigz die.

You will end up with more than the "M" below, but this is what you cut the card stock down to in size.

 

Then you simply fold the card stock on score marks like you see below.

 One side folds over the other and you can use Sticky Strip to fasten the sides together!

It really is quick and easy. Decorate the front and you have a very nice treat!

Bashful Blue and the Two-Step Bird Punch

I designed this card in Real Red the first time and now have decided to try it in Bashful Blue.

I chose not to add a saying at the bottom underneath the polka dots until I know which greeting I will need.

What you cannot see really well is that the polka Dots do not entirely cover the front of the card stock.  There is plain space at the top and the bottom of the white card stock.

Easter Treat Box

I made two of the #114518 Box #2 boxes page 201 $34.95, punched the handles out with the #107305 Large Oval Punch and adhered them together with sticky strip.

You may or may not be able to see that I also ran them through the #117335 Polka Dot Impressions Folder (Occasions mini, page 35 $7.95) before I assembled the boxes.
