I was talking to my UdderlyAwesome friend, Duana Foster, and she was telling me how much fun she was having making these scrunchy flowers. She sent me a picture and I copied her idea and then went on to try a few more colors on my own.
Here is her beautiful Chocolate Chip and Pretty in Pink version.
I added the Polka dot background to her idea.
These would be beautiful on boxes and on scrapbook pages, too!
Look at the end of the sample pictures for pictures on how to make the flower.
Supplies:
Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper(Occasions Mini), Chocolate Chip, Pretty in Pink, Old Olive card stocks
Long edge scallop punch, small oval punch (leaves) and the #113524 5/16" neutral brads, page 179, polka dot impressions folder from the Occasions Mini.
I decided to try one with the Razzleberry card stock and papers.
Sets:Vintage Vogue, Occasions Mini #111644 Heard from the Heart page 142 $22.95, #111613 Razzleberry Ribbon page 182, #115685 Razzleberry Designer Series Papers, $9.95 page 161
Here was my first idea, which maybe I like the least. But you have to start somewhere, right?:) But I will show you anyway:). I was trying to match the Pink Flamingo designer series papers.
I'll have to say that I Duana's design the best! It has been so much fun to learn how to make these flowers. It's quite simple. Here is what you do:
Use the Circle Scallop Punch and punch out 5 flowers (You could make them smaller or larger in number.) Scrunch up the designer paper or the card stock so that it looks like this:
Then when you open up the "flower" you cut into the card stock or paper at intervals of every two scallops, which I forgot to do when I took this picture. Imagine it:)!!
Then stack up your layers and use the paper piercing tool to add a brad to the center!
They are lots of fun!
I would love to see some of the projects and ideas that you come up with using this idea!
As always, please e-mail me if I can help you in anyway!
Thank you for stopping by!

Hair Scrunchies are easy to crochet and quick to finish. The possibilities to adapt and vary a basic scrunchie pattern are almost endless, different yarn and stitch combinations can alter the finished effect dramatically. The only problem with these little crocheted treats is that they can become addictive!
