After a 6 year struggle with Alzheimer's, my husband of 35 years stepped into the presence of the Lord early this morning. The best gift that Dave ever gave to me is his love. He made a place in his heart for me that I knew I always had.
It was so obvious that Dave was experiencing the peace that comes from having a personal relationship with the Lord as he moved into Heaven. Peace is not something that we can find, is it? It comes as a result of knowing that we are forgiven and loved by God; from being in the journey of really getting to know God personally.
I am grateful that Dave was willing to trust God through so much difficulty. He was a man of great integrity and courage. He finished the race well.
I love you, and I will miss you so!
Supported by His love,
Sandy

You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers! God Bless you and walk with you through this time!

Sandy, thinking of you & your family. I will always remember how much we had on the Alaska cruise together & how much Dave (& the other husbands) enjoyed getting one of everything offered at meal times. :) You are incredibly strong woman & I pray that God will grant extra strength during this difficult time. I know Dave is your guardian angel now. Love, Teresa Brethauer

Sandy, My heart is both breaking with you, and rejoicing with you that Dave is in the presence of his Lord! "We sorrow not, as others sorrow". "Absent from the body, AT HOME with the Lord." My prayers and thoughts are with you.

The hymn writer wrote: When we all get to heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be! When we all see Jesus we'll sing and shout the victory"! Dave is shouting in victory in the presence of our Lord and Savior. Blessings in the King of kings and Lord of lords - Shari

Sandy,
I am so very sorry for your loss, but I know that heaven is celebrating a son who is home. I pray for God's arms to wrap around you and hold you close. My husband is in his last days and soon he will be home with Jesus and he can met your husband.
Love to you my sister,
Ginger Mitchell
