Ornament Punch Makes my Favorite Ever Christmas Tags

The tags do not take long to make and will attach so easily to a package. Both the silver embossed tag and the Handsome Hunter tags have glitter in the center and you really cannot see it in the picture.

Here is the easiest way that I have found to make them.

Cut a 2"x 4" piece of Whisper White card stock and fold it in half.  Position the Ornament Punch so that

the very top part of the punch misses the card stock (so that the fold will stay in tact.)

Hold the card stock with a post it note.

Do not try to punch folded colored card stock.  Trying that broke my first Ornament Punch!

 

This is how it will look.

 

Then you stamp the Delightful Decorations image on a separate piece of  white card stock and punch it out.  Add the single punched out ornament to the top of the plain folded white ornament and no one will ever know that it is not all one piece!  I cut 10" of silver cord, opened up the ornament, ran a little Dotto on the fold, and laid the silver cord across it.  It is just enough stick to hold the cord in place.

The gold ornament is embossed and then sponged with gold.

You can cut folded COLORED card stock ornament tags IF you have the Holiday Windows die (set of 4) and the Movers & Shapers Curly Label die. In the same way that Sandy says to set the fold inside the top edge of the ornament punch, line up the fold inside the top of the ornament die and crank it through your Big Shot. Works beautifully, and you can add stamped images or DSP, punched out with the standard ornament punch. Great tutorial, Sandy!
