and is colored in with blender pens and classic inks.

Tall Tales Gift Card Holder

This week I am featuring Tall Tales Designer Series Paper
and
the 2009-9010 Ronald McDonald Set, Very Thankful

Inspiration for the Gift Card Holder came from Becky Roberts.
I designed the 5 cards with the Very Thankful set and Tall Tales Designer Series Paper.
I changed the dimensions so that  regular 5 1/2"x 4 1/4" cards will fit inside.
This Gift Holder contains 5 cards and 5 envelopes
and will make a very nice gift.

Festival on the Green

During the summer, the Arboretum in Arcadia CA hosts outdoor musical concerts
with an extremely gifted philharmonic orchestra.
 Last night we took our dinner, some chairs, and spent the evening enjoying some beautiful music with our friends Steve and Abbie.

I'm not sure how big the grounds are, but there were a lot of people there.
This is the view of the orchestra and shell from where we were sitting.
It almost looks like a Star Wars Ship, doesn't it!
The shell provides amazing sound no matter where you sit.



Peacocks roam freely all over the Arboretum. 
They show no respect to the musicians
and put in their LOUD two cents all during the concert.
I wish I could get the peacock in the Ronald McDonald set to look this beautiful!

More Summer Fun with our Grandchildren

Saturday or Sunday seems to be a great day to share pics of our family if I have new ones.

So this is totally a personal family oriented post.

Here are a few  pics from my outing to Kid's Space this week with our daughter and two grandsons.

Kid's Space is on the same property as the Rose Bowl in Pasadena CA.
It provides hands-on educational play inside
and
a little creek with a windmill to play around outside!

This is our daughter, Shelly, Joshua, and Jeremy.
It was a hot day with a nice breeze.



The water drips off of the roof intermittently and the kids can catch water in their buckets.

Everything was going really well until the very end.
As Joshua was  climbing UP one of the  wonderful structures set up for them to climb inside, his lip collided with the shoe of someone else who was climbing DOWN.  An unhappy moment, but he recovered quickly.

We then went back outside to find Shelly and Jeremy.
Jeremy took a little tumble (he just started walking) and split his lip.
I took him out of Shelly's arms because she was comforting Joshua from his collision inside
and got blood all over my white shirt from jeremy's bleeding lip.

So I went to Trader Joe's and to get my hair cut on the way home
with blood all over my white shirt.  I didn't say anything.
People were very polite.
No one said anything.
What do you do?  Smile?  Put a note on your shirt:  My grandson split his lip?


It was a fun day and I look forward to going with them again before long!

Well, this was just a Razzle Dazzle Day!

Reiko used Creamy Caramel, Ruby Red, and Very Vanilla card stocks along with the Dream Gardens Set.
